Marine Industrial Switchgear Ltd Manager Bob Waide is one of the most experienced switchgear specialists in New Zealand with more than 40 years experience within the marine and industrial switchboard manufacturing industry. Bob began his apprenticeship in his native Australia before coming to New Zealand for a 6 month working holiday. He never went home. He worked in the switchboard manufacturing industry in New Zealand before heading to Fiji for 15 years. On his return to NZ he worked within the industry for a further 7 years where key contracts included the manufacture of switchboards on the ANZAC frigates. He joined MIS parent company MIE in the late 1990’s and took over as manager of MIS when the company began operation in 2000.
